Situation Update: 48 hours up to 14:00-30 July

Situation in the north: Heavy clashes continue in Nahr el-Bared camp. It is estimated 6,260 families have left Nahr el-Bared Camp. UNRWAÆs Emergency Operations continue in north Lebanon area. In Beddawi Camp all UNRWA installations (other than schools) are operating normally. To date, 5,045 families are accommodated in the north Lebanon area, out of which 324 families are accommodated in six Government Schools in Beddawi town.

Situation in the central Lebanon area: UNRWA installations are operating normally. Some 500 displaced families from Nahr el-Bared Camp have arrived in the central Lebanon area) so far.

Situation in Beqaa: All UNRWA operations in the Beqaa area are functioning normally. A total of 101 displaced families have arrived in the Beqaa area.

Situation in Tyre: All installations operating normally. A total of 233 displaced families from Nahr el-Bared Camp arrived in the Tyre area.

Situation in Saida: UNRWA installations operating normally. On 29 July night, a dynamite stick was thrown in DalaÆa area in Saida. No casualties reported. Tension is still prevailing in the camp especially at night due to the suspicious movements of masked men. Fear from further assassinations is observed. A total of 384 displaced families from Nahr el-Bared camp arrived in the Saida area.

Situation in the north: Heavy clashes continue in Nahr el-Bared camp. It is estimated 6,260 families have left Nahr el-Bared Camp. UNRWAÆs Emergency Operations continue in north Lebanon area. In Beddawi Camp all UNRWA installations (other than schools) are operating normally. To date, 5,045 families are accommodated in the north Lebanon area, out of which 324 families are accommodated in six Government Schools in Beddawi town.

Situation in Beirut: UNRWA installations are operating normally. Some 500 displaced families from Nahr el-Bared Camp have arrived in central Lebanon area (Beirut) so far.

Situation in Beqaa: All UNRWA operations in the Beqaa area are functioning normally. A total of 101 displaced families have arrived in the Beqaa area.

Situation in Tyre: All installations operating normally. A total of 233 displaced families from Nahr el-Bared Camp arrived in the Tyre area.

Situation in Saida: UNRWA installations operating normally. Tension is still prevailing in the camp especially at night due to the suspicious movements of masked men. Fear of violence has been observed. A total of 384 displaced families from Nahr el-Bared camp arrived in the Saida area.

Situation in the north: Heavy shelling and clashes concentrated on the Saasaa Quarter which is believed the main location of Fateh al-Islam. It is estimated 6,260 families have left Nahr el-Bared Camp. UNRWAÆs Emergency Operations continue in north Lebanon area. In Beddawi Camp distribution of Saudi cash donation for continued today for non registered refugees at Beddawi camp. All UNRWA installations (other than schools) are operating normally. To date, 5,045 families are accommodated in the north Lebanon area, out of which 324 families are accommodated in six Government Schools in Beddawi town.

Situation in the central Beirut area: UNRWA installations are operating normally. Some 500 displaced families from Nahr el-Bared Camp have arrived in central Beirut area so far.

Situation in Beqaa: All UNRWA operations in the Beqaa area are functioning normally. A total of 101 displaced families have arrived in the Beqaa area.

Situation in the north: Heavy and sporadic shelling intensively continuing over the past 72 hours. It is estimated that 6,260 families have left Nahr el-Bared Camp. UNRWAÆs Emergency Operations continue in north Lebanon area. In Beddawi Camp all UNRWA installations (other than schools) are operating normally. To date, 5,045 families are accommodated in the north Lebanon area, out of which 324 families are accommodated in six Government Schools in Beddawi town.

Situation in the central Lebanon area: UNRWA installations are operating normally. Some 500 displaced families from Nahr el-Bared Camp have arrived in the central Lebanon area so far.

Situation in Tyre: All installations operating normally. A total of 233 displaced families from Nahr el-Bared Camp arrived in the Tyre area.

Situation in Saida: UNRWA installations operating normally. On 22 July, personal dispute took place at Tabbourit between young men from the village and others from Ghazieh (both villages are southeast of Saida), the incident resulted in one fatality (ISF member) and four injuries. A total of 387 displaced families from Nahr el-Bared camp arrived in the Saida area.

Situation in the north: Intermittent heavy shelling intensively continuing. It is estimated that 6,284families have left Nahr el-Bared Camp. UNRWAÆs Emergency Operations continue in north Lebanon area. In Beddawi Camp all UNRWA installations (other than schools) are operating normally. To date, 5,045 families are accommodated in the north Lebanon area, out of which 324 families are accommodated in six Government Schools in Beddawi town. A A remedial education program started on Saturday 14 July at UNRWA town schools and other Government public schools for around 300 students who were back to school to finish the school year. They will also be given the opportunity to participate in recreational and psychosocial activities.

Situation in central Lebanon area: UNRWA installations are operating normally. Some 500 displaced families from Nahr el-Bared Camp have arrived in Central Lebanon Area (Beirut) so far.

Situation in Beqaa: All UNRWA operations in the Beqaa area are functioning normally. A total of 94 displaced families have arrived in the Beqaa area.

Situation in Tyre: All installations operating normally. A total of 235 displaced families from Nahr el-Bared Camp arrived in the Tyre area.

Situation in Saida: UNRWA installations operating normally. A total of 410 displaced families from Nahr el-Bared camp arrived in the Saida area.

Situation in the north: Intermittent heavy shelling intensively continuing. On 17 July four Katyusha rockets are launched from the camp targeting the nearby villages, one Lebanese civilian was injured. It is estimated that 6,334 families have left Nahr el-Bared Camp. UNRWAÆs Emergency Operations continue in north Lebanon area. In Beddawi Camp all UNRWA installations (other than schools) are operating normally. To date, 5,045 families are accommodated in the north Lebanon area, out of which 324 families are accommodated in six Government Schools in Beddawi town. Remedial education program started on Saturday 14th of July at UNRWA town schools and other Government public schools for around 300 students who were back to school to finish the school year. They will also be given the opportunity to participate in recreational and psychosocial activities.

Situation in Saida: UNRWA installations operating normally. A total of 402 displaced families from Nahr el-Bared camp arrived in the Saida area.
