Applications are invited from candidates
who meet the stated post requirements. After the closing date for applications,
a shortlist of candidates is established based on the information received from
applicants. Short-listed applicants may be required to sit for tests; those who
pass the test based on a predetermined test criteria
will be invited for personal (face-to-face) interview. Invitation for test and/or
interview will be by email or telephone communications.
Initial appointments are normally for one year subject to a one
year, which is also considered as a probationary period, and extendable
to further periods depending on the performance of the incumbent and the continuing
need for the post.

Vacant posts are normally advertised
internally and externally at the same time. Vacancy announcements are circulated
in the UN common system of organizations and among UNRWA's
major donors, as well as in the international press.

advanced degree, as well as several years of job related work experience. Senior
posts require solid managerial experience in a large commercial, governmental or
international organization.
